The primary purpose of cabin air filter is to help clean the air that enters into your vehicle through the ventilation system, keeping the air inside your vehicle clean and fresh.
Location of this cabin filter: Passenger side behind the glove box. Tools: None.
When you change your filter (maybe variant for your model. Please see the owner’s manual or find a local mechanic for exact instructions for the particular model):
- The cabin filter is located in a plastic housing below the glove box.
- Remove the cover from the bottom of the housing. It is held in place by a locking clip that will slide towards the rear of the vehicle.
- The cover and locking clip are two separate parts that snap together.
- To remove the old filter, pull straight down and out of the housing.
- Slide the new filter into place making sure that the air flow indicator arrow is pointing towards the driver’s side of the vehicle.
- Install remove parts by reversing the removal procedure and it’s done.
