The primary purpose of cabin air filter is to help clean the air that enters into your vehicle through the ventilation system, keeping the air inside your vehicle clean and fresh.
Location of this cabin filter: Driver side behind trim panel near the accelerator pedal. Tools: None.
When you change your filter (maybe variant for your model. Please see the owner’s manual or find a local mechanic for exact instructions for the particular model):
- Remove the driver’s side kick panel by simply pulling the bottom edge toward you which will release the clip securing it to gain access to the filter housing. It’s located to the right of gas pedal.
- Remove the filter housing cover by pulling down on the latch at the bottom.
- Remove the old filter out of the housing.
- Insert your new cabin air filter into housing.
- Install remove parts by reversing the removal procedure and it’s done.
